Welcome to Pangea
We are excited to have you in our Alpha trial! As an Alpha user you'll have the first look at some of the features Pangea has to offer. Build your profile, search for your friends, and prepare to Explore the World, Together.You will likely encounter some bugs and other small issues with the app. If and when you do, please let us know so we can fix them.
Getting started
You need to install an App called Expo to access the Pangea Alpha:
Once you have Expo installed:
Create an Expo account
Accept our Pangea project invite by clicking here
Login using your Expo credentials and click "Accept invite"
Go to the Expo App and click on "Pangea"
Create your Pangea account
An open network
For the Alpha trial, all profiles are visible to all other users who have Pangea accounts. Everyone in the Alpha trial has been personally invited by me - so its a close network, but if you are uncomfortable sharing any of the data requested feel free not to do so.
Roadmap
Over the summer we will be working on a few key features before we open our Beta:
Connections so you can control who sees your profile (obviously)
Place Profiles so you can see everyone in your network who has been somewhere
Trips so that you can share with your network when and where you will be
Notifications to help you realize when your network is/will be in the same place as you
Explore allowing you to visualize the places that your entire network has been on an interactive map (similar to what is on individual profiles today)
