Welcome to Pangea
We are excited to welcome you to our Alpha trial! As an Alpha user you have early access some of the features Pangea has to offer. Build your profile, search for your friends, and prepare to Explore the World, Together. You will likely encounter some issues, and think of some suggestions to help us improve. If and when you do, please let us know by raising a ticket, commenting in our WhatsApp community, or pinging me directly.
Getting started
You need to install an App called Expo Go to access the Pangea Alpha:
Once you have Expo installed:
Create an Expo account
Search your email inbox for an invite called "Welcome to Pangeatech" from [email protected]
Click "Accept Invite" and login using the Expo credentials you made in step 1
Restart the Expo Go App on your phone and navigate to:
Profile (on the bottom nav bar)
Pangeatech (under organizations)
Pangea (under published projects)
Default (under classic release channels)
Create an account in Pangea and setup your profile
An open network
For the Alpha trial, all profiles are visible to all other users who have Pangea accounts. Everyone in the Alpha trial has been personally invited by me - so its a close network, but if you are uncomfortable sharing any of the data requested feel free not to do so.
Roadmap
We are working on many new features before we open our Beta more broadly, including:
Connections so you can control who sees your profile
Place Profiles so you can see who in your network has been to a specific place
Trips so that you can collaboratively plan and share upcoming trips
Explore - an interactive map showing where your network has been (similar to what is on individual profiles today, but with all of your connections)
