Hi All,

I’m thrilled to share that Pangea is co-hosting NomadWeek in Cape Town (January 25 - 31, 2026) and early bird tickets are now LIVE!

We have two types of passes available:

  • NomadWeek  – access to the core event & experiences (Jan 25-31) as we kickoff the 2026 season

  • NomadSeason – NomadWeek access + 3 months of community events, group trips, co-working sessions, exclusive experiences, networking & more (Jan - Mar 2026)

A limited quantity of early bird tickets are available, starting at just $197 - 45% off of the full rate! Prices will go up next month as we want to encourage you to book early so we can plan efficiently and make it the best season yet!

🇿🇦 About NomadWeek 🇿🇦

I'm hosting this year's event with Andrae Smith, a native Capetonian, long time digital nomad, and Founder of both NomadWeekWork Wanderers - the first and largest community of Digital Nomads in Cape Town! We've also partnered with all of the major travel communities in Cape Town including NomadNest, UZINZO, and more to unify the wider travel community this season. Our goal is for NomadWeek to become the ultimate kickoff for the year in Cape Town, open to everyone. We are also going much deeper in connecting with the local community in meaningful and lasting ways - something I've found doesn't happen with most travel programs which end up becoming a bubble of foreigners in a cool destination. NomadWeek will include access to:

  • Two days of talks from some great speakers on everything from building remote businesses/careers, to raising money for your startup, to building communities while traveling, to extreme travel in off the beaten path destinations from some of the most traveled people in history.

  • The Africa Expo where we’ll be hosting dozens of South African based startups, businesses & entrepreneurs.  It’s all about sharing ideas, discovering opportunities to work together, and building connections that stretch far beyond the week.

  • Social experiences & networking events throughout the week, including our iconic Sunset Yacht Cruise, a weekend wine tour & villa pool party, and gala event on the top of Table Mountain (...literally a Natural World Wonder!!!)

And a lot more!

🇿🇦 About NomadSeason 🇿🇦

You can't even scratch the surface of Cape Town or the region in a month... much less a week, so we decided to offer a full-season community pass which runs from January - March. Members will get access to weekly community dinners, networking events, a packed schedule of private add-on experiences, group co-working sessions and more. We'll also be organizing some great add-on group trips to other countries around the region which I'm REALLY excited about. Some of the trips we're working to put together:

  • West Coast Weekend & Houseboat – Explore the West Cost of South Africa and stay in a Luxury 16 Bedroom Houseboat

  • Garden Route in the Castles – Road Trip the world famous Garden Route, bungee jump off a 216 Meter bridge & co-live in Castles on the Beach

  • Lake Malawi Co-Living Villas – Explore Malawi from luxurious villas co-living with a group of 20 other Digital Nomads

  • Botswana Safari Villa – Stay in a 22 person boutique Villa on the edge of the Chobe River equipped with Starlink WiFi and Safari through Chobe National Park overland & by boat.

  • Victoria Falls – Hike in Zimbabwe on the edge of the largest body of falling water in the world, enjoy a Riverboat Sunset Cruise, swim in the legendary Devils’ Pool, and meet elephants up-close in Zambia.

  • Kruger National Park – Safari the Manyeleti region of the Greater Kruger National Park, including a rare Walking Safari Experience with a Specialist Game and Bush Guide.

  • Leshoto – Road Trip through Leshoto, exploring the Drakensberg mountains, local villages & more.

  • Mozambique & Eswatini – Take in Mozambique’s pristine beaches, dive with Whale Sharks(!!) and explore the Kruger from a traditional homestay in Eswatini.

All of the trips will be add-ons, exclusively open to the NomadSeason community, and will be lead by either me, Andrae or several of our partners who we've personally traveled with in the past (aka not random, re-packaged, low-quality tours that you could book on your own for cheaper).

Not only will you get the chance to explore the best parts of Southern Africa in depth, but also build a community of ambitious and adventurous people from South Africa & around the world while doing it!

🇿🇦 Why Cape Town? 🇿🇦

I started my full-time nomadic journey in Cape Town in February 2023, and it was easily the best month of my life at that time. I fell in love with the city, which even after exploring 107 countries, I can confidently say it's my favorite place on earth. And it has me coming back year after year for longer each time (1 month in 2023, 10 weeks in 2024, 4 months in 2025...)The global community I built, which started there, has become my closest group of travel friends who I continue to explore with nonstop.

Cape Town is the perfect blend of everything: a world class city, amazing people,  incredible restaurants, rich local culture, beautiful hikes & beaches within 5 minutes, top notch wineries, and an infinite number of “once in a lifetime” trips which you can do on your weekends. Oh, and Penguins! 🐧Plus PERFECT weather from January - March!  It's cool enough in the mornings and evenings for a run or hike, warm enough to lay out at the beach during the day - and last year, only 2 days in 3 months where it wasn't a perfectly blue sky. And, despite what you might hear, its super safe in the main areas you'll spend time and incredibly accessible. I’ll share an in depth guide about my favorite parts of Cape Town  & South Africa in an upcoming newsletter... but I'm not the only one who loves it - Conde Nast readers named it BEST food city IN THE WORLD!

We're working hard to make NomadWeek & NomadSeason the best experience & community the travel world has ever seen!

We're bringing in all of the lessons we've learned from our travels the last 10 years with all the top communities, along with our combined expertise in Cape Town from both the perspective of a traveler and a local. I can't wait to share it with you and see this amazing community together on the top of Table Mountain!

PS: our long awaited Android App quietly dropped yesterday on the Play Store! We're still working through a few rough edges, and some pages load slower than we would like... but give it a try and let me know if you face any issues so we can get them fixed before we launch!

Cheers,

-Matt
