Hi Everyone,
I’m thrilled to announce that Pangea acquired Nomadago, following last week’s announcement about our acquisition of Overlap.
As of today, all three apps have merged, and the entire Nomadago community has joined everyone from Overlap on Pangea to form the largest free community of Digital Nomads to connect & share plans.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for what Danny, Victor & Ben built with Nomadago, it was something really special for Digital Nomads, and bringing it together with Overlap & Pangea is another important step as we consolidate a fragmented travel tech landscape.
Now that the integration of these three amazing platforms is complete, our combined teams are able to focus on the fun part! Improving the platform, building new features, creating meaningful partnerships, and making it easier for you to Explore the World, Together.
You can find more information about the merger in our Press Release.
If you’re a Nomadago User, you’ll receive a separate email with more detailed instructions. In short:
All of your trips, profile data and connections have been securely merged into the Pangea platform in line with our Privacy Policy.
You can login by either:
If you’re a Pangea user - you should begin to see A LOT of new friends on the platform - so be sure to check your friend suggestions, sync your contacts, and add any anyone you know to help everyone get connected quickly.
And of course, keep planning trips with our new united community!

👋 Welcome to Pangea

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Matt, the Founder of Pangea.
After spending 12 years, living, working, and visiting 111 countries (and counting) I decided to quit my job in tech to solve the problems I faced first hand during my journey.
While there are many travel apps, none of them solved the main challenges I faced. Most were overly cumbersome to add my travel plans and impossible to see where my actual friends were traveling. Many appeared to have tons of other travelers nearby, but engagement was always low, and finding people I actually wanted to meet was difficult. Basically glorified dating apps. Worst of all, most tried to charge me just to use the app, something I’m committed to avoid at all costs. (Yes, Pangea is 100% free for you!)
Pangea gives you a simple way to share your travel schedule & bucket-list with your network & other travelers, plus powerful tools keep track of where & when friends are traveling. The goal is to help you coordinate plans, make trips actually happen, and connect with old & new friends more IRL by #HackingSerendipity.
📲 New Features
At its core Pangea, lets you share your travel plans with friends, track the cities / countries you’ve been, and get notified when your plans overlap in a similar way to how Nomadago worked.

Some of my favorite features unique to Pangea:
Our dynamic map view to visualize the places you’ve been, want to go, and upcoming travel plans
Search to see everyone you know who has been to a city/country so you know exactly who to ask for recommendations
The ability to share recommendations for your favorite spots directly in the app
Our beta trip planning feature, allowing you to create a shared wishlist of spots, organize an itinerary, and coordinate via group chat directly in Pangea.

Plus, having a much larger community in one place ultimately increases the likelihood you’ll be able to connect with other like minded Travelers & Digital Nomads in any city in the world.

🛣️ The Road Ahead
Pangea is far from perfect, and there may be some minor changes to how things worked in Nomadago.
The exciting part is that with our three teams working together, we have A LOT of new great things planned which will be launching over the next few months.
Stay tuned, and of course, if you have product ideas or feedback on how we can improve, feel free to let us know.
💬 Join the Community
If you want to get more involved, feel free to join our WhatsApp Community where we have city chats for most of the popular nomad hot spots, share partner deals, and organize community trips (like some of these pictured).
I also personally invite you to join our community at NomadWeek in Cape Town (Jan 25-31, 2026) or for the full Nomad Season where you’ll be able to meet me, and several other team members from Overlap, Nomadago & Pangea. You can use NOMADAGO50 to save $50.

I hope to meet many of you over the coming months and years on the road somewhere.
And, if you don’t know already, I’m on a personal mission to visit every country in the world, ideally with as many friends as possible. If you’re interested in joining me in any of the 86 countries I have left, please let me know!
Exciting times!
